In your first week at Seminole State, you'll attend the in-person New Raiders Welcome Orientation. As a part of the orientation, new employees learn about the College's mission, vision, strategic goals, core values and priorities, in addition to navigating the College's resources and processes.

In addition to the in-person orientation session, there is an online Canvas course that accompanies this learning. The outline and overview of this required course includes the following:

Required Compliance Training Courses
- The FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) for Higher Education course must be completed in the first 10 days of hire!
- By the end of your first 30 days, complete the remaining Required Compliance Training Courses.
New Raiders Welcome - Summary Checklist
- Review employee information, forms, and technology applications.
- Attend in-person New Employee Orientation Session.
- Complete New Employee Orientation Online Training Course in Canvas.
- Complete Required FERPA for Higher Education course in the first 10 days of hire.
- Complete the remaining Required Compliance Training Courses by the end of your first 30 days.
