Have questions about graduation?
Seminole State College offers two commencement ceremony options each year: Grad Walk and Formal Commencement. At both ceremonies, college leaders congratulate graduates on a stage, with faculty in attendance, and formal photos are taken.
Commencement at Grad Walk
This ceremony is held in the Fall, on the SSC Sanford/Lake Mary Campus, and is for summer and fall graduates.
Formal Commencement
Our formal commencement ceremony is held in the Spring, at Addition Financial Arena on the UCF campus, and is for summer, fall, and spring graduates.

Grad Walk Questions
You can attend either or both. Just provide your preference to the Graduation Team at graduation@seminolestate.edu.
Recent graduation celebrations were outdoor, drive-through ceremonies where families remained in their vehicles during their graduate's stage entrance. Now with Grad Walk, families will walk alongside together indoors.
No. Grad Walk will not be recorded or broadcast on the web.
If you require assistance accessing the stage, need a sign language interpreter or require other accommodations, please indicate so when you RSVP for graduation. A member of the graduation team will contact you about your specific accommodation. If a member of your party requires assistance, the graduation venues for Grad Walk and commencement are ADA-compliant and event staff will be available to assist.
