Seminole State College of Florida is a self-insured institution through the Florida College System Risk Management Consortium. This program is authorized by the Florida Legislature to allow institutions in the Florida College System in the state of Florida to join together to develop and implement a statewide cooperative system of risk management under one comprehensive plan.


The Florida College System Risk Management Consortium, hereinafter referred to as "the Consortium," includes all participating colleges. The Consortium is created by mutual agreement of the boards of trustees of the Florida College System. As participating members, institutions agree to comply with the policies, procedures and other directives issued by the Consortium's supervising authority, the Risk Management Council (Council of Presidents).
