New to Online Learning
Welcome to Seminole State Online. We are excited to have you this semester and hope you enjoy your student experience. After you have applied to Seminole State of Florida and registered for an online class, we encourage you to follow the steps below to make sure that you’re all set up and ready to go on the first day of class.
Complete the Student Orientation to Online Learning by enrolling in Passport to Canvas.
Create a MySeminoleState account in order to access the registration system, student email, Office 365, and classes through Canvas.
Log into Canvas at the start of the term to access your online course. If you don’t log in by the end of the add/drop period, you may be withdrawn from your class. You will need to engage in an academic activity and submit weekly reports to be considered present in the course.
Read your “Course Welcome” email. It will be sent to your SSC email account a week before the course starts.
View your course announcements and syllabus.
