Set up your Seminole State College account

Once your residency has been approved you will receive an email with your student ID number and user ID while your Seminole State College account is being created. Once the account is created (within 24-48 hours) you will receive a follow-up email to activate your account. If you have questions, visit the Seminole State Help Desk website for more information.

 Study materials include the PERT Practice Test and  PERT Study Guide . These resources will allow you to assess your abilities and improve your test-taking skills.

The PERT placement testing is offered on a walk-in basis during  Assessment & Testing business hours. Please select your preferred testing location below:

Note: The Testing Center does not currently test non-Seminole State students for PERT.

The PERT takes approximately 2 to 3 hours to complete.  

Testing must be completed in the same day, unless a seven day extension is needed.

  • There is no testing fee for the first attempt at Seminole State.
  • Seminole State students who are retaking all or part of the test will be assessed a $10 test fee*. 
    • *Price subject to change. Test fee is non-refundable.

Payment must be received before testing can begin. Contact the Assessment and Testing Center for more information.

  • Visit your preferred testing location during Assessment & Testing business hours to complete the PERT placement test.

    The Testing Center does not provide PERT placement testing for other institutions. 

  • Complete your placement test and receive your PERT  scores
  • Complete Seminole State's online student orientation
  • Schedule an advisement appointment with the Academic Advising and Counseling Department.
    • Your advisor will help you interpret your test scores and place you in the appropriate courses.

Examination Day Reminders

  • You will need to present a current, valid and original photo ID with a signature(e.g., passport, driver’s license or state-issued ID card).
    • Digital Identification is not permissible.
  • If your photo ID does not include a signature, a second ID is required with your name and signature (e.g., Social Security card, credit card or debit card).
