ACCUPLACER
ACCUPLACER is a placement test used to assess your comprehension in reading, writing and mathematics skills and to determine your college course placement.
ACCUPLACER is available on a walk-in basis during Assessment & Testing Business Hours at Sanford/Lake Mary, Altamonte Springs, or the Lee Campus at Oviedo for admitted students.
Students Required to Test
All non-exempt, degree-seeking, first-time-in-college, college-credit and certificate-seeking students whose degree or certificate program is 12 or more credits must take a placement assessment. Such students may not register for any credit course at Seminole State until they have a set of complete scores on file.
This includes student in the following groups:
- All students seeking Dual Enrollment.
- All students who cannot provide official ACT, CLT, SAT, ACCUPLACER, or PERT scores or scores on an official transcript by the date of their advising appointment/session.

ACCUPLACER with ProctorU is a remote placement testing option for students desiring a convenient option to test virtually at a place and time of their choosing. Once approved to test, students schedule an appointment directly with ProctorU.
A proctoring fee of $29.50 is paid by the student directly to ProctorU at the time of appointment registration. This fee is separate from any fees charged by Seminole State College.

ACCUPLACER with ProctorU
The Assessment & Testing Department is pleased to offer ACCUPLACER with ProctorU as an additional placement testing option. ACCUPLACER with ProctorU allows students to test at a convenient time and location with proctoring services provided by ProctorU. Appointments with ProctorU are available 24/7/365. This service is provided at a fee of $29.50 paid by the student to ProctorU at the time of appointment registration. Additional on-demand fees apply for appointments made less than 72 hours in advance.

- Requests will be processed for eligibility in 3-7 business days.
- For immediate availability, consider taking advantage of Assessment & Testing's on campus walk-in services.
- Once approved, examinees will receive an ACCUPLACER Remote Voucher Notification via their Seminole State student email.
