ACCUPLACER
The ACCUPLACER, is used to assess your comprehension in reading, writing and mathematics skills and to determine your college course placement.
Students Required to Test
All non-exempt, degree-seeking, first-time-in-college, college-credit and certificate-seeking students whose degree or certificate program is 12 or more credits must take a placement assessment. Such students may not register for any credit course at Seminole State until they have a set of complete scores on file.
This includes student in the following groups:
- All students seeking Dual Enrollment.
- All students who cannot provide official ACT, CLT, SAT, ACCUPLACER, or PERT official scores or scores on an official transcript by the date of their advising appointment/session.

The ACCUPLACER is offered on a walk-in basis during normal Assessment & Testing business hours. Please select your preferred testing location below:
ACCUPLACER is also available through remote testing via ACCUPLACER with Examity for students desiring a convenient option to test virtually at a place and time of their choosing.
- ACCUPLACER retake(s) for Seminole State students: $10*
- ACCUPLACER retake(s) for non-Seminole State students: $25*
- ACCUPLACER with Examity: $25 paid directly to Examity*
- This fee is separate from any retake fees charged by Seminole State.
- Fee will increase to $28 on September 15, 2024

ACCUPLACER with Examity is a remote placement testing option. Once approved to test, students schedule an appointment directly with Examity.
A proctoring fee of $25 is paid by the student directly to Examity at the time of appointment registration. This fee is separate from any fees charged by Seminole State College.

ACCUPLACER with Examity
The Assessment & Testing Department is pleased to offer ACCUPLACER with Examity as an additional placement testing option. ACCUPLACER with Examity allows students to test at a convenient time and location with proctoring services provided by Examity. Appointments with Examity are available 24/7/365. This service is provided at a fee of $25 (increasing to $28 effective September 15, 2024) paid by the student to Examity at the time of appointment registration.
Please Note: Current Vouchers will expire September 15th. Please schedule your exam prior to this date to avoid delay.
To take ACCUPLACER with Examity, complete the request form below.
- Requests will be processed for eligibility in 3-5 business days.
- For immediate availability, consider taking advantage of Assessment & Testing's on campus walk-in services.
- Once approved, examinees will receive an ACCUPLACER Remote Voucher Notification via their Seminole State student email.
