- Seminole State also provides free use of a video phone at the Sanford/Lake Mary campus’ Student Center in the Disability Support Services office, room 130.

American Medical Professionals with Hearing Loss (AMPHL) – AMPHL is an organization dedicated to providing Deaf/Hard of Hearing individuals with information on advocacy, mentorship and resources for those pursuing a career in the medical field. AMPHL
Described and Captioned Media Program (DCMP) – DCMP has a wide variety of videos that are captioned and a multitude that also include sign language. They offer a program for students entering college called, “Map It.” It specifically guides Deaf/Hard of Hearing pre-college students to answer the questions, “Who Am I?” “What do I Want?” and “How do I Get There?” as it specifically relates to transitioning to college. This online training requires a free membership to DCMP to access it. DCMP - What comes next
Vocational Rehabilitation (VR)– VR provides services to individuals with various disabilities. Specifically, for Deaf/Hard of Hearing individuals, VR can provide interpreters for job interviews along with other services. Contact your local VR services office to learn the different ways VR can assist you.
