The following syllabi are based on the Florida Adult Education ESOL Framework. They are used by ESOL instructors at all Seminole State locations to develop lessons.
Context for Building Lessons: Life and Work Competencies
The CCR and ELP standards should be taught contextually by building lessons around life and work competencies that relate to students' personal and career goals. The competencies address the full range of adult ESOL levels. Some competencies are more applicable to beginning levels and others to advanced levels.
