College-Credit Programs

Seminole State's Criminal Justice Institute prepares students for careers in public safety and law enforcement. As student in one of our college-credit degree programs, you will receive the comprehensive training and education you need to enter the field or continue on to a four-year college or university.

A.A Degree Programs

Criminal Justice students will complete the common prerequisite courses for an upper-division Criminal Justice major as part of their general A.A. degree program.

Seminole State offers prerequisite courses for the following Criminal Justice major:

A.S. Degree Programs

Seminole State's A.S. degree in Criminal Justice Technology provides the knowledge, skills and experience needed for a career in criminal justice.

Credit toward this degree is available for those with current Florida:

  • Law Enforcement certification or
  • Corrections Officer certification

College Credit Certificates

Students in Seminole State's Criminal Justice Technology Program can earn certificates in Technology and Homeland Security:

Articulation Agreement

The Law Enforcement/Corrections Officer Articulation Agreement provides graduates of Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission (CJSTC)-certified training academies with college-level course credit, which can be applied toward an Associate in Science (A.S.) degree in Criminal Justice Technology at Seminole State College.
