President's Message

Dr. E. Ann McGee, Seminole State PresidentAt Seminole State College, our faculty and staff are focused on our mission: academic excellence, student success and changing lives.

We have much to celebrate. For more than 50 years, we have served Central Florida, offering more than 200 degrees, certificates and programs, including seven bachelor’s degrees. We provide a quality education to nearly 30,000 students in six sites and online.

We have awarded more than 100,000 college credentials in our history, and our students are increasingly receiving national accolades. Since 2006, Seminole State has produced 17 Jack Kent Cooke scholars, including a national record-tying four scholarship recipients in 2015. Worth up to $90,000, the Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship is considered the largest in the nation for community or state college transfer students.

Here are some additional facts about Seminole State:

  • Seminole State is the ninth-largest employer in Seminole County, with more than 1,500 employees.
  • Seminole State is the ninth-largest institution in the Florida College System.
  • Four out of 10 Seminole County Public Schools graduates choose to enroll in Seminole State after high school graduation.
  • The College draws students from 35 states and 71 countries.
