Amy Lockhart was appointed by Governor Rick Scott to the Seminole State College of Florida District Board of Trustees for a term beginning in March 2014 and ending in May 2017. Trustee Lockhart continued to serve on the Board after her term ended and Governor Scott reappointed her effective December 1, 2017, with her term scheduled to end on May 31, 2021.
Lockhart, elected to the Seminole County School Board in November 2012, has extensive ties to Seminole County and its educational institutions.
Previously, she served as chair of the Idyllwilde Elementary School Advisory Council. Currently, she serves on the Seminole County Value Adjustment Board and is a member of the Seminole County Regional Chamber of Commerce. In 2012, Lockhart organized and executed Seminole County’s 100-day centennial celebration, "Seminole Celebrates – A Century of Success."
Lockhart is a native Floridian and has called Central Florida home since 1996. Lockhart lives in Sanford with her husband, Tim, and two children.
