TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills)
The TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills) is for students planning to enter certain Limited Access programs in Allied Health including Nursing and Physical Therapy Assistant.
The TEAS assesses:
- Reading
- Mathematics
- Science
- English & Language Usage
TEAS Testing at Seminole State
The Assessment and Testing Center offers TEAS to Seminole State students and non-Seminole State students by appointment only. Individuals may test virtually or on campus campus at Sanford/Lake Mary, Altamonte or the Lee Campus at Oviedo.

- $80 (Seminole State College students)
- $95 (Non-Seminole State students) + (includes $5 Proctorio Fee for virtual testing)
Seminole State permits individuals to test three times over a 12 month rolling period.
Individuals are permitted to re-test 31 days from their previous test date. This is non-negotiable; plan accordingly.
Seminole State's Title III Program supports Preparing for the TEAS.
Schedule Your TEAS Exam Appointment
To schedule a TEAS appointment, please select an exam session on the calendar below. Appointments are available approximately six weeks in advance.
Non-SSC students: To take the Virtual TEAS with the SSC Testing Center, you must visit the Sanford/Lake Mary, Altamonte, or Lee Campus at Oviedo to pay your Testing Fee. If you are unable to pay in person, please cancel your Virtual TEAS appointment and schedule your test directly with ATI
TEAS Appointment Verification
While we make every effort to honor all appointment requests made with Assessment and Testing, each appointment is verified for testing eligibility and may be subject to cancellation up to 24 hours before the requested appointment.
- To avoid this possibility, please ensure that all testing eligibility requirements are met before making your reservation.
- Welcome Letters with appointment information will be sent to the student one business day prior to the appointment.
- Please arrive at least ten minutes early to your testing site. Late arrivals of five minutes or more run the risk of losing their appointment time and must reschedule.
