The CAE-CD designation reflects the rigorous academic and institutional standards in cybersecurity met by Seminole State’s Associate in Science degree in Information Systems Technology. In meeting these standards, Seminole State has demonstrated that its program includes competency development for students and faculty, community engagement, cross-disciplinary integration of cybersecurity practices, and active leadership in advancing solutions to national cybersecurity education challenges.

“This recognition underscores Seminole State’s commitment to advancing cybersecurity education and preparing the next generation of cyber professionals,” said Dr. Janell Robinson, professor and program manager of the A.S. in Information Systems Technology. “Cybersecurity is one of the fastest-growing fields, and we are proud to offer programs that open doors to rewarding careers while contributing to our nation’s resilience in cyber defense.”

As a CAE-CD institution, Seminole State joins a distinguished network of colleges and universities recognized for excellence in cybersecurity education. Students enrolled in the College’s cybersecurity programs may become eligible for valuable federal scholarships and gain a competitive edge for career opportunities within the field upon graduation.

This designation also gives Seminole State enhanced opportunities for collaboration with access to a national network of cybersecurity educators, researchers and federal partners, fostering innovation in cyber defense.

Seminole State offers associate and bachelor’s degrees in cybersecurity. The College's Center for Cybersecurity works to advance the practice and public awareness of information technology (IT) security through education and service.
