Governor DeSantis appoints two to Seminole State’s Board of Trustees

Gov. Ron DeSantis has appointed John Good and Shawn Molsberger to the Seminole State College of Florida District Board of Trustees. The appointments were announced Sept. 9, along with the reappointment of longtime Trustee Amy Lockhart.

Good, of Winter Park, is chief financial officer and principal of Good Capital Group, a real estate private equity company based in Central Florida. Prior to joining Good Capital, he worked in commercial real estate financing at Independent Financial (IBTX) and in the New York office of Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL).

Good earned his bachelor’s degree in economics with minors in philosophy and history from the University of Georgia and is an avid outdoorsman, serving as the president of the Central Florida chapter of Quail Forever, a habitat organization dedicated to the conservation and improvement of natural uplands in Central Florida.

Shawn Molsberger

Molsberger, of Longwood, serves as senior vice president of Orlando Health Northeast Region and president of Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital. He also oversees the Orlando Health Emergency Room and Medical Pavilion in Lake Mary. He has held various leadership positions across the Southeast for over 20 years and began his career as an occupational therapist.

Molsberger is a longtime supporter of Seminole State and serves on the Board of Directors for the Foundation for Seminole State College. He also serves as the immediate past chair of the Board of Directors for the Seminole County Chamber and on the Board of Directors of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes of Seminole County and the Board of Directors of the Rescue Outreach Mission.

With her reappointment, Lockhart, a Seminole County commissioner, is now in her third term as a Seminole State trustee and is the longest-serving member on the board. She was appointed by Gov. Rick Scott in 2014 and previously served as vice-chair and then chair of the board. 

Good and Molsberger join Lockhart, Chair Bob Cortes and Vice-Chair Daniel J. O’Keefe on the Board of Trustees. Good, Molsberger and Lockhart’s appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.

The Board of Trustees, made up of members appointed by the governor and confirmed by the Florida Senate, meets monthly to oversee the operations of the College.
