Seminole State announces Fall 2026 arts, music and theater season

Seminole State College of Florida's Center for Fine and Performing Arts invites the community to celebrate the fall season through an exciting lineup of live performances, theater productions, musical events and art exhibitions.
Featuring the talents of Seminole State students, faculty and community performers, this season's programming offers opportunities for audiences of all ages to experience the power of the arts through entertainment, education and cultural connection.
Theater
The Seminole State theatre program presents Leading Ladies by Ken Ludwig in Le Petit Théâtre on the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus.
Set in York, Pennsylvania, in 1958, Leading Ladies is a fast-paced comedy filled with mistaken identities, outrageous disguises and nonstop laughs. When two struggling actors discover that a wealthy woman is searching for her long-lost nieces, they devise a scheme to impersonate the missing heirs in hopes of claiming a fortune. Their plan quickly unravels into a whirlwind of hilarious mix-ups, unexpected romance and unforgettable twists.
Performance Dates
- Nov. 6-7 and Nov. 13-14 at 7:30 p.m.
- Nov. 8 and Nov. 15 at 2 p.m.
Admission
- General Admission: $10
- Seniors (65+): $8
- Free for Seminole State students, employees and retirees with valid College identification.
Performances will be held in Le Petit Théâtre Building B (B-127) on the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus. Reservations are required. Ticket information will be announced at a later date.
Music Performances
The fall music season features faculty performances, jazz, community choral events and holiday concerts.
Faculty Recital

Distinguished Professor Dianna Campbell, Dr. James Smisek and Seminole State applied music faculty will perform solo vocal and instrumental repertoire. Free parking. No reservations required.
Jazz Night
- Tuesday, Oct. 20
- 7:30 p.m.
- The Ritz Theatre at Wayne Densch Performing Arts Center, 201 Magnolia Ave., Sanford
Presented in partnership with The Ritz Theatre, the concert features the Seminole State Jazz Combo, Jazz Ambassadors and SeminoleSound. Reservation information will be announced at a later date.

Messiah Sing Along

- Holy Cross Lake Mary, 780 N. Sun Drive, Lake Mary
Join the Seminole State Community Choir, voice faculty, vocal majors and alumni for an evening performing selections from Handel's Messiah. Musical scores will be available onsite.

Holiday Choir Concert

Celebrate the holiday season with performances by SeminoleSound, Concert Chorale and the Community Choir, culminating with Vivaldi's Gloria under the direction of Dianna Campbell.
Free and open to the public. No reservations required.

Fine Arts Gallery Exhibition
Through the Years... Best of Show: 1970s–Current

The Fine Arts Gallery will showcase award-winning student artwork spanning more than five decades of Seminole State's Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition.

The exhibition honors the legacy of Professor Grady Kimsey, who established the juried exhibition in 1969 and helped shape generations of student artists. As the nation celebrates America's 250th anniversary and Seminole State concludes its 60th anniversary celebration, visitors are invited to experience a retrospective featuring Best of Show recipients from the 1970s through today.
The exhibition will be open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Fine Arts Gallery, Building J (J-109), on the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus.
