Beyond its role as a driving force for economic development and opportunity through associate and bachelor’s degrees and workforce certifications, Seminole State College of Florida also serves as a hub for educational and cultural events. These programs engage and enrich the community while providing opportunities for learning, connection and inspiration.
From lectures to performances, Seminole State’s fall calendar offers something for everyone in the community to enjoy with events that highlight learning, culture and connection.
Out of this World Presentations
The Emil Buehler Perpetual Trust Planetarium at Seminole State offers live, interactive shows and full-dome video presentations that are unlike any planetarium show guests will experience. From traditional star displays and cultural shows that detail the importance of astronomy around the world, to feature presentations that whisk guests through the depths of outer space, the planetarium has something for curious stargazers of all ages.
Fall Feature: Pink Floyd’s iconic album "The Dark Side of the Moon," originally released in March 1973, is still a favorite more than 50 years later, and guests are invited to celebrate and experience music set to visuals at the Planetarium on Sept. 19.
