Return to the origins of one of the season’s most enduring stories with the planetarium’s acclaimed production of The Star of Bethlehem. Praised by both secular and religious audiences for over 20 years, this show examines the Christmas star through a scientific lens exploring the historical existence of Jesus of Nazareth, the journey of the Magi and the astronomical events that may help explain the famed star.

Originally written and produced by former planetarium coordinator Michael McConville, the 2025 presentation will be delivered remotely by McConville himself using the planetarium’s new Digistar 7 system. Newly remastered visuals and the latest dome technology bring to life a breathtaking exploration of the fine line between faith and science.

Recommended for ages 9 and older.

From inspiring musical performances to a visually stunning, research-driven planetarium experience, Seminole State’s 2025 holiday events offer something for everyone.
