The Fall Term is well-underway at Seminole State College of Florida with high-impact coursework, cultural programs and career development opportunities for students and the community alike. Students, alumni and community members are invited to connect with leading employers to explore career paths and take the next step toward a rewarding future. Attendees can network with hiring professionals, learn about emerging opportunities in high-demand industries and gain valuable career-building advice from Seminole State’s dedicated team of advisors.

Holiday Fine and Performing Arts

Seminole State’s Center for Fine and Performing Arts celebrates creativity in motion, offering programs in art, music and theater alongside a dynamic lineup of concerts, plays and cultural events. Audiences are invited to experience the excitement of live performance and the imagination of student artistry as learning takes the spotlight. Holiday highlights include:

“As an open-access institution, we accept all students who have a high school diploma or GED. From recent high school graduates to professionals seeking new skills to advance a career, Seminole State welcomes you,” said Dr. Georgia L. Lorenz, president of Seminole State College. 

Whether planning to stay for a semester, earn an A.A., or complete a bachelor's degree, students receive a high-quality, affordable education close to home. Admission for the Spring Term and the application period for Foundation Scholarships for Spring 2026 are now open, with the scholarship deadline on Oct. 31.

“You will have a dedicated academic advisor who will work with you to create a personalized educational plan that aligns with your career goals, while small and flexible classes allow instructors to focus on your progress,” Lorenz continued.

Seminole State’s Academic Advising and Counseling Department provides academic advising and counseling services for students that will help them succeed at the college level and beyond. The Academic Advising and Counseling Team serves as a catalyst for promoting the holistic well-being of every student. Through developmental advising, our advisors ensure the individual goals of each student are attainable through individualized, tailored and prescriptive methodologies that support the implementation of a comprehensive guided pathway framework.
