Seminole State graduation celebration honors Summer and Fall 2022 grads

Seminole State College of Florida recognized student achievement during the Fall 2022 Outdoor Graduation Celebration Tuesday, Dec. 13, at the College’s Sanford/Lake Mary Campus.
The College awarded more than 2,000 degrees and certificates to 1,822 students graduating this fall. More than 1,300 graduates from Summer Term 2022 were also invited to participate in the celebration to be formally recognized for their accomplishment earlier in year.
With balloon arches and congratulatory signs marking the path, graduates crossed the stage in their caps and gowns for their moment in the spotlight while their families looked on. After exiting the stage, graduates posed for formal photos in their regalia and then rejoined their families to take pictures and sign a commemorative wall in designated photo areas.
“We know how hard our graduates have worked to reach this milestone, and we are incredibly proud of their success,” said Dr. Laura Ross, vice president of Academic Affairs. “We’re pleased to have them as part of the Seminole State alumni family and look forwarding to seeing them ‘Go Far.’”
Representatives from the Seminole State Alumni Association visited with the graduates and shared all the opportunities the association offers including alumni networking, interacting with the student body and supporting the College.
