Any favorite memory of your time, team or Coach Courtney Miller?
There are too many memories that I could mention but the one that makes me smile or cry every time is thinking about singing our hearts out on the bus on the way home from the state tournament after taking the field for the final time. Also, I have PTSD every time I hear the word "burpee" thanks to Courtney!

How did your experience as a student-athlete help with your life or current situation?
Being a student-athlete definitely taught me how to be a leader in tough situations, it taught me discipline and a good work ethic. Finally, it taught me to be strong and push through tough situations.

Ames works as an RN in the gynecology and oncology field.

Can you share an uplifting story about your work that you have experienced over the last few weeks?
I had a patient who went home discouraged about the chemotherapy treatments being administered to her. These treatments weren't helping her cancer. I took care of her for a couple of weeks, so we got pretty close. I prayed with her before she left the hospital and gave her my number to keep me updated. Last week she texted me saying her most recent scans showed shrinkage or disappearance of all the cancerous spots in her organs and that she was tolerating her treatments really well. She thanked me for taking care of her and said she wouldn't have been able to push through if it wasn't for the kindness and care that I showed her while she was in the hospital. I love the impact I've had the opportunity to make in the lives of my patients without even realizing it. I love my job and being a nurse is so rewarding!

Anything else you want to add?
I love and miss all of my Seminole State family so much. I'm so thankful for all the memories that I'll never forget or take for granted!
