Seminole State awards nearly 2,000 credentials during Fall 2023 Grad Walk

Seminole State College of Florida recognized student achievement during the Fall 2023 inaugural Grad Walk Celebration Tuesday, Dec. 12, at the College’s Sanford/Lake Mary Campus.

The College awarded nearly 2,000 degrees and certificates to students graduating this fall. More than 1,000 graduates from Summer Term 2023 were also invited to participate in the celebration to be formally recognized for their accomplishment earlier in year.
"Our Raiders never cease to amaze me!" said Seminole State President Dr. Georgia Lorenz. "We're incredibly proud of our graduates and how hard they worked to reach this milestone. Seeing their families and friends celebrate alongside them at our inaugural Grad Walk made the occasion even more meaningful.”
Representatives from the Seminole State Alumni Association visited with the graduates and shared all the opportunities the association offers including alumni networking, interacting with the student body and supporting the College. The Seminole State alumni community is more than 130,000 Raiders strong.
After crossing the stage, the newest Raider alumni celebrated their achievement by adding their signatures to a commemorative wall and enjoying numerous photo opportunities with their families and friends.
Since 1966, Seminole State College of Florida has awarded more than 100,000 degrees and certificates. The Alumni Association provides benefits and services for all alumni as they continue their lifelong connection with Seminole State College of Florida.
