Christine Tufts Maher
Christine came to Seminole State College in 1998 with nearly two decades of health information management experience. Throughout her career, she has held positions in management, coding, quality and utilization review within the hospital and ambulatory healthcare delivery systems. She also has experience designing, testing and implementing many aspects of computerized health information as well as the electronic health record (EHR).
Christine holds an Associate in Arts (A.A.) from Onondaga Community College, a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Health Information Management from the University of Central Florida, a Master of Science (M.S.) in Educational Technology from Nova Southeastern University and a Master of Science (M.S.) in Health Care Informatics from the University of Central Florida. She is an active member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) as well as the Central Florida chapter of the Health Information Management Association (CFHIMA) and has served as a Florida Health Information Management Association (FHIMA) Delegate and as a task force member of the FHIMA Bridging the Gap Subcommittee.
