  • No-Cost Business Consulting: One-on-one, confidential consulting services to help business owners with various aspects of their business, including business planning, financial management, marketing strategies, and operational efficiency.
  • Training and Workshops: Educational programs and workshops on key topics like business planning, digital marketing, financial management, and strategic growth. These workshops aim to equip business owners with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Market Research and Data Analysis: Access to valuable market research and industry data to help businesses make informed decisions and understand their competitive landscape.
  • Access to Capital Assistance: Guidance on obtaining funding, including help with preparing loan applications, understanding different financing options, and connecting with potential lenders or investors.
  • Government Contracting: Assistance for businesses interested in selling their products or services to federal, state, or local governments. This includes help with understanding the procurement process and preparing bids or proposals.
  • Disaster Preparedness and Recovery: Guidance on creating disaster preparedness plans and assistance in recovering from disruptions caused by natural disasters or other emergencies.

Meet our Florida SBDC Director and Consultant 

Jessica Rosario-Fortis is the incoming Director of the Florida SBDC at Seminole State College. She is passionate about helping entrepreneurs grow confidently and sustainably through improved systems, operations and access to strategic resources. 

Rosario-Fortis has over 25 years of leadership experience across corporate and entrepreneurial sectors. As co-owner of a high-compliance janitorial service, she helped scale the business into a multi-six-figure enterprise serving healthcare, educational and corporate clients across Central Florida.

She is a graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program and the Hispanic Chamber of Metro Orlando’s Supplier Diversity Capacity Building Program. Rosario-Fortis was also nominated in the Hispanic Business Enterprise of the Year category for the Don Quijote Awards—one of Central Florida’s most prestigious recognitions for Hispanic entrepreneurship.

She has facilitated workshops for organizations including SCORE, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, SBA's Empowered to Grow and the FSMSDC. She has mentored emerging entrepreneurs, and was once a client of the Florida SBDC herself. Her firsthand experience gives her a deep appreciation for the power of the right guidance at the right time. 

With a strong foundation in leadership development and community engagement, she is committed to serving Florida's small business community with excellence, empathy and intentional strategy.
