Physical Sciences

Seminole State College offers a wide variety of physical sciences classes for students. Seminole State's physical sciences department encompasses chemistry, physics, and the Earth sciences – astronomy, Earth science, environmental science, geology, meteorology, and oceanography.

Many students pursue degrees in engineering, computer science, health care, technology and other pre-professional programs. Those who successfully complete the curriculum for these majors at Seminole State and transfer to four-year universities generally perform equal to or better than native university students. The small classes offered at Seminole State allow students to get the extra help and direction they need to understand and master the basic concepts of science, which are necessary to excel in advanced science work.

Students are taught in state-of-the-art science labs by professors who are committed to their success.
