Physical Sciences Scholarship Opportunities

The Physical Sciences Department is offering a scholarship award for Physical Science* courses taken in the Spring 2026 Semester.

Eligibility Requirements

• Degree-seeking student, in good standing and enrolled in a Physical Science^* course for the Spring 2026 term.  
• Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Completed a minimum three (3) credit hour Physical Sciences course with a grade of A within the last three (3) academic semesters.
• Completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form on file.
• You do not need to be currently enrolled in a Physical Science course to apply.

*Physical Science courses include:

• Astronomy (AST)
• Chemistry (CHM)
• Physics (PHY)
• Environmental Science (EVR)
• Earth Science (ESC)
• Geology (GLY)
• Meteorology (MET)
• Oceanography (OCE)

Submission Requirements

• Completed application online (see link below) no later than November 7, 2025. No late applications will be processed.
• Sent an unofficial copy of your transcript to Professor Joanne Bedlek-Anslow at bedlekanslowj@seminolestate.edu.
• Indicated a Physical Sciences professor's name as a reference.
