Fall 2025 Grad Walk recognizes more than 2,000 Seminole State graduates

Seminole State College of Florida awarded more than 2,400 degrees and certificates during the Fall 2025 Grad Walk on Dec. 16, at the College’s Sanford/Lake Mary Campus. More than 2,000 students completed credentials this fall. Noted among the credentials awarded are 1,027 associate degrees and 238 bachelor’s degrees in high-demand fields of business, construction and interior design, education, health and public safety, and technology, highlighting Seminole State’s commitment to produce a workforce-ready pipeline for Central Florida.
By fostering a career-long relationship with students and community members, Seminole State is a trusted partner throughout college and career journeys.
“Commencement is always a proud moment for our College community,” said Seminole State President Dr. Georgia Lorenz. “Each graduate represents dedication, resilience and the bright future of our region. “Whether they’re beginning their careers or advancing them with new skills, our graduates are prepared to go far — and we’re proud to support them every step of the way.”
Parnell plans to continue her
education at Seminole State to earn
a bachelor's in elementary education.
For student Samantha Parnell, who graduated with an Associate in Arts degree this fall, the flexibility Seminole State offers made the difference for her. “Seminole State is very accommodating – that flexibility for someone who works full-time is very important,” she said. She plans to continue her education at Seminole State to earn a bachelor’s in elementary education with a focus in special education.
After crossing the stage, graduates and their families celebrated with Seminole State-branded photo stations, including a visit with the College mascot, Rally. Additionally, the graduates join a growing alumni network of more than 150,000 Raiders.
Registration for the Spring Term is now open, with classes beginning Jan. 12, 2026. Recent high school graduates, adult learners and working professionals seeking career advancement are encouraged to apply and register for classes at seminolestate.edu/apply-register.
