Following the success and positive feedback from its first-ever hybrid, drive-through graduation for the Class of 2020, Seminole State College hosted a graduation ceremony in the same format for its Spring 2021 graduates May 4 and 5 on the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus. The College awarded nearly 2,800 degrees, certificates and diplomas.

The hybrid graduation allowed graduates to cross the stage as their name was read while their family and friends  remained in their vehicle and took photos.

After graduates exited the stage, they had a formal photo taken in their regalia before re-entering their vehicle to be driven to one of three identical photo areas to take family photos, sign a commemorative wall, and learn about the Seminole State College of Florida Alumni Association and the opportunities for alumni to network with one another, interact with the student body and support the College.

“Graduation is one my favorite times of the year and I am so incredibly proud of all of our graduates!” said Seminole State President Dr. Georgia L. Lorenz. “And I am very proud of our staff and faculty who once again gave our graduates and their families a day to remember as they received their diplomas.”
