At this year’s sold-out Dream Cup Challenge presented by Addition Financial, players battled the inclement weather to join the Foundation of Seminole State College for the 38th annual golf tournament.

Though the event was rained out, the Foundation is taking a “mulligan” and hosting a follow-up event at the Legacy Club at Alaqua Lakes on Monday, June 21.

“This is our time to pivot and make sure we don’t leave any divots,” said Dr. John Gyllin, vice president of resource and economic development and executive director of the Foundation for Seminole State College. “The turnout on April 19 showed how much our community cares for the Seminole State students and programs. It was heartwarming to see their support even through the weather.”

While they were unable to play on the course, the golfers enjoyed lunch provided by Jax 5th Avenue Deli and Ale House, drinks provided by Wayne Densch Charities, Inc, snacks provided by Publix Supermarkets, and cookies from Crumbl Lake Mary.

The Foundation thanks its Tee Box Sponsors, including A. Clore Interiors, AlphaGraphics, Celery City Craft, Charles Perry Partners, Inc., Chick-Fil-A, The Key Realty Group, New York Life Insurance, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Orlando Health, Palm Ridge Reserve/Florida Farm Distillers, Parks Lincoln of Longwood, St. Petersburg Distillery, Seminole State Planetarium, and The Sharing Center. Thanks to Hole Signage Sponsors: Burr & Forman, Danton Hydroblasting, HGR Construction, Janie Harris, Realtor; Label Hoarder, and Veritas Recruiting Group.

Details about the Foundation’s June 21 event will be shared at a later date.
