2024 Dream Cup Challenge raises close to $60,000 for Seminole State

Presented by Addition Financial, the 2024 Dream Cup Challenge golf tournament emerged as a triumph, raising close to $60,000 in support of Seminole State College. A sold-out field of golfers joined forces for the Foundation for Seminole State College’s 40th annual tournament, marking a day of spirited competition and camaraderie.

Players eagerly took part in a range of engaging contests, including the "Putting Contest," "Closest to the Pin," "Straightest Drive," and "Longest Drive," generously supported by Guignard Company, Dillard's Altamonte, Andrew General Contractors, and Alphagraphics Lake Mary, respectively. Adding to the enjoyment, the Margarita Man provided refreshing drinks sponsored by Charles Perry Partners, Inc. As participants savored the excitement on the course, they also enjoyed treats and beverages provided by a variety of sponsors, including Waste Pro, Tito's Vodka, Jax's 5th Avenue, Publix, Boar's Head, Firehouse Subs and Matern Professional Engineering.

Special recognition goes to Wayne Densch Inc. for their significant contribution as the beverage sponsor, providing beer for the course as well as three special tastings, and to HGR Construction and Wharton-Smith Construction for their generous beverage cart sponsorships. Furthermore, Orlando Health was the Dream Cup's generous golf cart sponsor. 

The defending four-time National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) National Champion Seminole State Women's Golf Team and Coach Christa Teno provided enthusiasm on the course and help throughout the day. New this year, the construction and interior design students participated in a "Construct a Putt" activity.

Prizes were awarded to the following winners:

  • Second Place: Publix
  • Most Honest Team: Board of Trustees

  • Longest Drive Women: Joanna Del Moral
  • Longest Drive Men: Tanner Fox
  • Straightest Drive: Joel Knopp
  • Closest to the Pin: Jason Abromavage
  • 50/50 Raffle: Rob Rosen
  • Golf Ball Cannon Closest to the Pin Winner: Rod Hart

The Dream Cup Challenge is one of Seminole County’s premier golf events and serves as one of the Foundation’s largest fundraisers of the year.
