It was a perfect spring day for the 32 teams who participated in the Foundation for Seminole State College’s 36th annual Dream Cup Challenge Golf Tournament held April 15 at The Legacy Club at Alaqua Lakes, raising over $45,000 for programs, scholarships and other areas of need at the College.

For the second consecutive year, Wayne Densch Charities won the Dream Cup.

“This tournament keeps getting better every year. Not only do our community and business leaders come out and play, but several of our donors attend in support.” said John Gyllin, Ed.D, vice president of Resource and Economic Development and executive director of the Foundation for Seminole State College. “We are so grateful for the time, talents and treasures our friends and supporters share to help Seminole State students and programs.”

Presented by Addition Financial, the 18-hole competition featured special putting and course contents, including “Best Poker Hand,” “Longest Drive” and “Closest to the Pin.” Players enjoyed a pre-game lunch provided by Jax 5th Avenue Deli and Ale House, raffle prizes supported by the Casselberry Chamber of Commerce, and a catered dinner following play.

Prizes were awarded to the first place winners in three flights:

Flight One:    Wayne Densch Charities, Inc;

Flight Two:    Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital

Flight Three:  MSL CPA and Advisors, Inc.

The Dream Cup Challenge is one of Seminole County’s premier golf events and serves as one of the Foundation’s largest fundraisers of the year. Team and other photos may be downloaded from Facebook.
