Statement from Dr. Lorenz

Dr. Georgia L. Lorenz, Ph.D, President, Seminole State College of Florida

Dear Raiders,

Over the past five years, we have made great strides in building a more collaborative, innovative, and employee-focused culture. With Impact 2030, we are continuing that momentum by prioritizing employees.

To help us measure our progress, Seminole State participated in the 2026 Great Colleges to Work For employee engagement survey, in partnership with The Chronicle of Higher Education and ModernThink.

We have earned this recognition before, but what matters most is your voice. This survey is your opportunity to share honest feedback, help us grow, and shape what comes next.

The survey is completely confidential, and results will be shared with the College in summary form this spring. We are committed to listening and acting on what we learn.

Thank you for being an essential part of Seminole State’s future.

With appreciation,
Georgia L. Lorenz, Ph.D.
President, Seminole State College of Florida

How Participation in the Great Colleges Survey Supports
Impact 2030

The Great Colleges Survey will serve as a strategic driver in advancing Impact 2030’s goal of cultivating a collaborative and innovative environment where employees are a priority. Through intentional analysis of employee feedback, the College will identify opportunities to strengthen engagement, enhance workplace culture, and remove barriers that impact employee success.

Aligned with our commitment to invest in employee learning, skill development, and career success, survey insights will inform targeted initiatives.

Additionally, the survey will guide efforts to promote a culture where employees are engaged and valued, ensuring that communication, recognition, and inclusion remain central to the employee experience.

This strategy emphasizes moving from feedback to action by leveraging data to implement measurable, division-specific improvements that reinforce trust, accountability, and continuous growth. By prioritizing our employees, we strengthen institutional effectiveness and directly support student success and community impact.
