Sanford Porchfest is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that unifies its community through music with the mission of enhancing access to and promoting the arts through educational scholarships. Sanford Porchfest is a free grassroots music festival that takes place on the fourth Saturday of every February in the historic residential downtown of Sanford, Florida. It is the ultimate sense of community where every attendee, homeowner, artist and organizer plays a part in the overall experience with over 50 bands performing on the front porches of homes within walking distance to each other.

Built entirely on goodwill - from the organizers, artists and homeowners - 100 percent of the proceeds from the annual music festival are returned to the community in the form of summer camp tuition for performing arts and scholarships for fine arts education in Seminole County. This scholarship was established to support those students who are passionate about a future in the arts.

The vision of Sanford Porchfest is to be an authentic and altruistic organization that helps unify the Sanford Community through access to arts education, and access to each other.

Eligible students must be enrolled in an area of study within the Center for Fine and Performing Arts and possess a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need and who are residents of Seminole County.

"My dream is to be creating music for others to enjoy and have a stable living situation. Getting this scholarship means a great deal to me, as it is helping me pay for my classes so I can continue to work toward my associate degree in music."

"Acting and performing are what gets me through the day. I chose a theatre major because I love everything about performing, creating the character, learning things about yourself through portraying different people. I love building the sets, having rehearsals, and creating lasting relationships with the cast and crew. Thank you for helping me and others to succeed. This scholarship made it possible for me to attend two summer classes this year, which will keep me on track for Spring 2022 graduation."
