Orlando Health is a not-for-profit healthcare organization that serves the Southeastern United States. Headquartered in Orlando, Florida, the system was founded more than 100 years ago with an ongoing mission to improve the health and quality of life of the individuals and communities we serve. Made up of 15 wholly owned hospitals and emergency departments, services also include rehabilitation, cancer institutes, heart institutes, imaging and laboratory services, wound care centers, physician offices for adults and pediatrics, skilled nursing facilities, an in-patient behavioral health facility, home healthcare services, and urgent care. In Seminole County, we offer a comprehensive community hospital in Longwood at Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital and emergency care and specialty care at Orlando Health Emergency Room and Medical Pavilion – Lake Mary. 

Established by the Orlando Regional Healthcare Foundation, now known as Orlando Health Foundation, the South Seminole Hospital Nursing Endowed Scholarship/Orlando Regional Healthcare Foundation Endowed Nursing Scholarship's goal is to support and honor the next generation of nurses in our community. Thousands of nurses are a part of the Orlando Health team; many of whom are graduates of Seminole State College. Orlando Health understands the critical importance nurses play in the health and wellbeing of our community and is privileged to help make education accessible and attainable for those who wish to make a difference in the lives of others.

This scholarship provides assistance to nursing students who maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 with preference given to students who are currently or were previously employed in a hospital.
