Give to the Hugh Moore/SIM CFL Endowed Scholarship
Hugh Moore is an inaugural member of the SIM CFL Hall of Fame in recognition of his vital role in establishing the chapter and in leading and contributing to countless efforts to continuously ensure the success of members, the chapter itself and the national SIM organization.
A pioneer in the industry, Hugh was part of a group of prominent Orlando-area CIOs who worked to create an organization where technology leaders could collaboratively network and share knowledge and best practices.
Hugh was then instrumental in converting the organization to a SIM chapter in 2001 and served as SIM CFL president during the chapter’s earliest years – leading crucial initial efforts such as writing bylaws and establishing chapter meetings, initiatives and processes.
Hugh also leveraged his role in recent years as dean of business at Seminole State College to connect STEM students with SIM CFL’s offerings and philanthropy efforts. For more than two decades, Hugh has maintained a constant, crucial role in advancing the chapter in stature, both in membership and in national prominence.
SIM Central Florida continues to be Central Florida’s premier organization where technology leaders collaborate, thrive and give back.
This scholarship honors Hugh's legacy of service by assisting full- or part-time Seminole State College students seeking a Bachelor of Science in Business and Information Management (BIM). Students must have a minimum 2.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need.
