A.S. Degree

The EMS Associate in Science degree program is designed to prepare graduates for employment in pre-hospital emergency medical careers. Through comprehensive theory studies, clinicals and field internships, students develop valuable skills for assuming the roles of life-support provider and physician extender. Graduates can expect to find employment opportunities with public fire rescue agencies, governmental agencies, educational organizations, private healthcare transporters and providers, hospitals and private industries.

Completion of this degree program may qualify EMS students for state educational incentive salary supplements. The programs meet the requirements currently set forth by the Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services' EMS Division.
