Financial Aid Overview

The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships is committed to serving all students by removing financial barriers and expanding access to higher education.  We help students and families explore and maximize all available financial resources to make college more affordable

While Seminole State College expects students and their families to contribute to educational costs, financial need should never limit a student's opportunity. Our financial aid programs are designed to supplement a family’s contribution and help meet the overall cost of postsecondary education.

Applying for Financial Aid

Students are encouraged to complete the electronic Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as it opens each year on December 1st, available using Seminole State College of Florida’s FAFSA school code, 001520. Once the FAFSA is processed by Federal Student Aid (FSA), students must review their FAFSA Submission Summary for accuracy.

After the FAFSA has been received by the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships, each aid recipient will receive an electronic financial aid offer notification, including information about financial resources at Seminole State College. Financial aid eligibility is based on individual need, educational expenses, and the availability of funds.

Staying Informed

Students are responsible for checking their MySeminoleState portal and email regularly for updates. Make sure to review the To-Do list in the My Student WorkCenter, and the Student Financial Planning Portal via your MySeminoleState Portal.
