Graduation and Transition

Earn your high school diploma in just 18 credits and entirely online!

Some exceptions apply, see an advisor for details.

To earn a high school diploma, students must complete the following general requirements:

  • Earn a minimum of 18 credits.
  • Satisfy all requirements as specified under Course Requirements.
  • Earn a minimum of two full credits, including the final two credits, in the Adult High School, as well as all required End of Course (EOC) assessments.
  • Pass the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) 2.0 Reading assessment. The assessment is administered two times a year.
  • Discharge all financial obligations to Seminole State College.
  • File an application for graduation to receive a diploma.

The student must have an overall cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above on a 4.0 scale. This requires the inclusion of all high school courses taken in the student's educational program, except those courses to which a forgiveness policy has been applied.

Note: A Certificate of Completion will be issued upon request to students completing all graduation requirements but failing to pass the FCAT and/or End of Course Exams.
