What is SmartPath?
SmartPath is a free support program designed to help qualified Seminole State students stay on track, do well in their classes, and reach graduation or transfer with confidence. Through personalized coaching, academic support, and clear step-by-step guidance, SmartPath walks alongside you from your first semester to your next big milestone.
TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) and SmartPath
TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) is a U.S. Department of Education–funded program that provides intensive academic and personal support to students who are income eligible, first-generation college students, and/or students with disabilities who desire academic support.
At Seminole State College, the SSS program operates as SmartPath: Pathways to Successful Completion, serving 140 eligible full-time students annually across all SSC campuses and online modalities.
Who SmartPath Serves
SmartPath participants are:
- First-Time-in-College (FTIC), full-time students
- Enrolled in A.A., A.S., or certificate programs.
- Identified as income eligible, first-generation, and/or students with disabilities.
