Purpose:
The purpose of this procedure is to establish the final date in a term by which students may withdraw from courses without academic penalty.
Procedure:
- The Registrar shall determine the final date in each term by which students may withdraw from courses without academic penalty.
- The final withdrawal date shall be interpreted to mean the point by which midterm assessments are completed. This will be the day that is closest to, but not to exceed, seventy percent (70%) of the total class days in that term.
- Student requests for withdrawals prior to the final date shall be approved through established process.
- Student requests for withdrawals after the final date shall not be approved. Withdrawals after the final date in a term may be granted only through established institutional procedures.
