This course prepares students for the State of Florida certification exam and for employment as nursing assistants in nursing homes, health agencies and private homes. The course is designed to provide classroom, nursing laboratory and clinical experiences for selected tasks related to personal hygiene, comfort and safety measures for residents in health facilities. Students will perform nursing skills in simulation laboratory settings under the supervision of a qualified instructor. State of Florida background check and finger printing is required.
