The following topics will be covered in this course: sets and Venn diagrams, logic, inductive and deductive reasoning, counting principles, permutations and combinations, probability, descriptive statistics and geometry. This class satisfies the General Education State Core Mathematics requirement for A.A. degree seeking students.

Prerequisite: MAC 1105 or MAT 1033 or MAT 1100 or equivalent with a grade of "C" or higher or sufficient score on placement test.

The test schedule is on the last page of the course syllabus. ProctorU is not an option for this course. If you live outside the area and want to use a local college for your tests, please inform me the first week of classes. You are responsible for any fees collected by the local college. This request is not automatically approved. To be considered in attendance, you must complete at minimum of 10 topics each week or have all topics for the specific unit completed. The course syllabus will be published in both Canvas and ALEKS. The syllabus will reflect due dates for topics (homework), projects, tests and the project.
