This course provides an advanced study of the organization, management and administration of law enforcement agencies. Topics include police administration in the political arena, organizational theory, police organizational structure, leadership, organizational communication, police subsystem tasks, decision-making, performance evaluation and organizational improvement.

Prerequisite or corequisite: DSC 3600. There is no prerequisite or corequisite for students in the Criminal Justice, EMS and Fire Science post-baccalaureate certificates.
