The purpose of this course is to provide remedial instruction and practice in mathematics skills and concepts. The content should include, but not be limited to, an emphasis on problem-solving, operations with decimals, fractions, whole and signed numbers, estimation and real world applications. The course content also includes test-taking skills and strategies for mathematics. After completion, students taking this course may take a Basic Mathematics Skills elective course in order to further prepare for successful experiences in Algebra I and beyond.
Prerequisite: Placement testing.
