The Seminole State AFC Chapter creates opportunities for faculty and staff at Seminole State College of Florida to grow professionally, to cultivate a sense of collective purpose, and to seed a culture of service to its community. Throughout the year the Seminole State AFC hosts a wide variety of political awareness events, professional development workshops, community service projects, and social gatherings.

Valentines for Veterans
You can show your love for our veterans all month long! Write a personalized message to share your appreciation for their service.
Lee Patrizzi will be preparing special gift bags along with your personalized notes to be donated to a special veteran in honor of their service. If you would like to be included in this community service activity, please sign up for this event and email Lee Patrizzi for instructions.
AFC Costume & Halloween Treat Social

Convocation After Party & Campus Superheroes

To celebrate National Comic Book Day, Seminole State's AFC Chapter asked its members to share the amazing, super-heroic feats of their colleagues. Suffice it to say, there were many heroes among us!
Members connected after the annual Convocation to share their interests (comic books or otherwise!) and to recognize all our campus heroes.
Suicide Prevention Month
Suicide is a leading cause of death for all ages, so we urge our members to educate themselves about this epidemic; to check in with friends, family, and colleagues; and to start the conversation.
Primary Elections 101

Service Project: Dress a Bear
Seminole State employees stuffed stockings and dressed teddy bears this holiday season on behalf of the Salvation Army's community efforts. Members voted online for the "Best Dressed Bear."
