The Seminole State AFC Chapter creates opportunities for faculty and staff at Seminole State College of Florida to grow professionally, to cultivate a sense of collective purpose, and to seed a culture of service to its community. Throughout the year the Seminole State AFC hosts a wide variety of political awareness events, professional development workshops, community service projects, and social gatherings.

AFC Cares / Rally & Raise

The Seminole State College Chapter of the Association of Florida Colleges (AFC) has organized this fundraiser as part of the Rally & Raise campaign to support the College community.
With your monetary donation, we will collaborate with partners to support students in need and plan other local community service projects throughout the year. Thanks for your support and commitment to change lives!

Voter Registration Drive

This Fall the Seminole State AFC partnered with the League of Women Voters of Seminole County to host a voter registration drive at the Sanford/Lake Mary, Altamonte Springs, and Lee Campuses.

Even working remotely, Seminole State AFC members showed their support for victims of sexual violence by participating in International Denim Day.
Wellness Series: De-Stress, Restore, Recharge

Seminole State AFC Chapter focused it professional development sessions this spring on improving physical, mental and emotional wellness. Events throughout the term included our De-Stress Sesh with Friends & Pets, the March Weekend of Movement, Unplug & Recharge with Yoga & Meditation, and Staying Sane While Navigating Change .
Service Project: Dress a Bear & Fill a Stocking

Seminole State employees stuffed stockings and dressed teddy bears this holiday season on behalf of the Salvation Army's community efforts. Members voted online for the "Best Dressed Bear."
AFC Costume & Halloween Treat Social

Seminole State AFC members donned costumes and showcased their favorite spooky treats in a virtual lunchtime social. Activities includes a "Costume Guess Who ?"
Convocation After Party & Campus Superheroes

To celebrate National Comic Book Day, Seminole State's AFC Chapter asked its members to share the amazing, super-heroic feats of their colleagues. Suffice it to say, there were many heroes among us!
Members connected after the annual Convocation to share their interests (comic books or otherwise!) and to recognize all our campus heroes.
