President Search Timeline

As Seminole State begins the search for its next president, members of the College community, our partners and the community at large are welcome to follow the process. 

This calendar is the estimated timeline for the president search. The timeline will be updated throughout the search process to keep you informed every step of the way.

**All dates and times are subject to change as may be necessary to accommodate Board and/or Search Committee member schedules.  All meetings will be appropriately noticed.**

August 2017

• Aug. 21 - Dr. McGee's Announcement

September 2017

• Sept. 18 - Board Workshop at 9 a.m.
• Sept. 18 - September Board Meeting at 2 p.m.
• Sept. 29 - Search Firm Quotes Due

October 2017

• Oct. 6 - Screening for Search Firm Meeting,  8:30 - 10:30 a.m.
• Oct. 16 - October Board Meeting at 2:00 p.m.
• Oct. 30 - Special Board Meeting: Interview Search Firms at 12 p.m.

November 2017

• Nov. 13 - Special Board Workshop with Search Firm at 12 p.m.
• Nov. 15 - First Search Committee Meeting, 9:30 - 11:30 a.m.

December 2017

• Dec. 4 - Second Search Committee Meeting, 12:00 - 2:00 p.m.
• Dec. 11 - December Board Meeting at 12 p.m.

January 2018

• Jan. 22 - January Board Meeting at 2 p.m.
• Jan. 25 - Third Search Committee Meeting, 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.

February 2018

• Feb. 12 - Fourth Search Committee Meeting, 12:30 - 3:00 p.m.
• Feb. 19 - February Board Meeting at 2 p.m.
• Feb. 28 - Fifth Search Committee Meeting, 9:00 - 12:00 p.m.

March 2018

• Mar. 19 - March Board Meeting at 2 p.m.
• Mar. 21-22 - Search Committee / Semi-finalist(s) Interviews and selection of finalist(s), 8:00 - 5:00 p.m. (or until finished)

April 2018

• April 9 - Constituent / Stakeholder Group Meetings with Finalist(s),
  8:00 a.m - 4:00 p.m. (SLM Campus)
• April 9 - Community Social with Finalist(s), 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

• April 10 - Board / Finalist(s) Interviews - All Day
