Official Rules and Regulations
Foundation for Seminole State College is conducting a raffle for up to a 3-year (36-month) lease on a 2024 model vehicle pursuant to Florida Statutes to raise funds for the benefit of Seminole State College. The lease has been generously donated by the Central Florida Auto Dealers Association, Inc. The winning ticket will be drawn at random at or about 9:00 p.m. on February 24, 2024, at the Orlando Marriott – Lake Mary Conference Center from all eligible raffle tickets received. Ticket holders do not need to be present to win.
Foundation staff members and their families are not eligible to win; entrants must be 18 years of age or older and have a valid social security number. By entering this drawing, the ticket purchaser acknowledges that he or she is aware of and agrees to abide by the Official Rules and Regulations of this drawing. All purchases/contributions are final. The price of entry does not qualify as a deductible/charitable contribution, according to the IRS. Check with your qualified tax advisor for additional information. Prize is non-transferable. No purchase/contribution is necessary to enter; a $25 donation suggested. Seminole State College reserves the right to limit the number of tickets distributed to each entrant. The odds of winning the prize will depend on the number of raffle tickets sold.
The winner will receive up to a three-year car lease for a 2024 model vehicle of his/her choice from one of the participating Central Florida Auto Dealers Association dealerships*. The lease has an Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of $15,000 and anything over that amount will be the responsibility of the winner. The lease shall have a limit of 12,000 miles per year. The winner is responsible for payment of any mileage overage as stipulated in the lease contract of the selected dealership. Typically, the cost is $0.25 per mile over the 12,000 per year limit. Winner has 45 days from the date of the drawing to finalize a lease agreement with a participating CFADA dealership. If the winner does not qualify for the lease, he/she will a receive a $5,000 cash prize.
The winner is responsible for applicable taxes, tag and title, and IRS income tax requirements, which must be paid prior to leasing the vehicle. The IRS requires income tax withholding of 25 percent on the value of the lease. The winner is also responsible for paying the associated costs of vehicle ownership, including, but not limited to insurance during the lease, maintenance of the vehicle during the lease, gas during the lease, and any damages to the vehicle. Winner must have a clean driving record and agrees to the terms of the vehicle lease agreement and related documents at all times during the terms of the lease.
