LEO0473 Substance Abuse and Awareness

This 40-hour course is designed to provide criminal justice officers having little experience with information regarding narcotics and dangerous drug investigations an understanding of the problematic, legal, investigative, and evidentiary aspects of narcotic and dangerous drug investigations and how they relate to money laundering. Students will receive a certificate of completion to satisfy state requirements. This class will be eligible for mandatory retraining or salary incentive. Note: this course was revised in April 2005 to include drug identification from the old Narcotics Identification and Investigations course 016. This current course cannot be used for additional salary incentive if the officer has already received salary incentive for Advanced Training Course #074.
