Policy:

It is the policy of the College that temporary, part-time instructors/professors are designated as Adjunct Faculty. This designation includes instructional (teaching) faculty only.

  1. In addition to teaching classes, Adjunct Faculty are expected to spend time preparing for class, meeting with students, grading student work, learning institutional procedures and corresponding with departmental representatives.
  2. For each contact hour assigned, an Adjunct Faculty member spends approximately .6 hour for preparation, grading, meeting with students, and other responsibilities.
