Solicitation and Management of External Grant Funding (Policy 1.190)
Policy
It is the policy of the District Board of Trustees that external funding resources will be utilized to support and develop college programs to the greatest extent possible, consistent with good business practice and the educational goals of the College.
- In conjunction with the policy regarding fundraising (1.150), The President and the Foundation for Seminole State College are dually authorized to seek external funding resources consistent with the mission of the College.
- The District Board of Trustees will be notified by the Grants Department of all pending grant applications and all awards received. The President is authorized to sign College grant documents. The President may delegate signature authority as necessary. This delegation must be done in writing and kept on file in the Grants Department.
- All grants activity shall be conducted in accordance with federal laws, Florida Statutes, State Board of Education rules, and the policies, procedures, and business practices of the College.
- The President shall cause procedures to be developed to implement this policy.
