Curricular Practical Training
Curricular Practical Training (CPT) is an employment authorization that can be granted to international students who have F-1 status and have been in status for at least one full academic year. Students in the English Language Institute are not eligible for CPT. CPT will be only authorized for the length of one academic semester. This means the student cannot continue to the employment after the semester is over or during a break between semesters. In order to acquire CPT authorization, please contact your International Advisor to obtain a Curricular Practical Training form.
